SO Marrakech was founded in 2018 by London born, Manchester based Anissa Damoussi. Her mixed Moroccan and English heritage saw her explore Morocco with her family from an early age, spending a lot of time in Marrakech.
29 years after her father opened Covent Garden’s ‘The Kasbah’, it seems a natural progression that Anissa has followed in his footsteps. In spring 2018, she began working with local artisans in Morocco herself.
Anissa holds close relationships with some of the best craftspeople across Morocco, from basket weavers and glassware makers, to carpenters, artists, jewellers and antique specialists. This allows her to source a carefully curated collection of ethically produced modern Moroccan homewares and accessories for SO Marrakech.
The forward-thinking brand and its passionately creative founder have a focus on combining natural materials, sustainability and centuries' old handmade techniques with a modern Moroccan aesthetic.
SO Marrakech boasts a constantly growing catalogue of beautiful products available online and in-store, and welcome larger bespoke orders. They also work alongside interior designers on both residential and commercial projects, to source authentic furniture, tiling, lighting, furnishings and more.
