PRODUCT CARE - our suggestions
Rugs: Our traditional Berber rugs are extremely durable and will last decades to come. They can be vacuumed to remove dirt and dust, use a suction only head as fittings with bristles or teeth can damage your rug. Avoid vacuuming the fringes. Occasionally we recommend flipping your rug and vacuuming the underside. Berber rugs will shed fluff, particularly initially, this is normal and can easily be removed through vacuuming.
To spot clean stains remove excess spillage as soon as possible by blotting (do not rub the spill). Mix water with either a mild detergent soap or white vinegar and gently brush the area with a sponge. Alternatively pour a little baking soda on to the stain and vacuum after 30 seconds. Repeat until the baking soda is no longer absorbing any moisture.
Every 5 years or so you may feel your Moroccan rug is in need of a more thorough clean. If so, we recommend taking your rug to a professional cleaner. It is also possible to hand wash it at home with cold water from a hose. However, ensure it dries completely in warm sun to avoid mildewing and do a spot test first to check for colour running.
